Elvis in Miami

“Mob Sobs As Elvis Ducks In -and Out.” Thousands of screaming, weeping teenagers mobbed the downtown Miami FEC station to welcome back the singer-turned-sergeant-turned civilian. Elvis, shorn of sideburns, but dazzling in black and silver togs, got a less enthusiastic greeting in Hollywood, where a barrage of eggs and tomatoes kept him inside his private car. Elvis was in Miami Beach to film “The Frank Sinatra Timex Show: Welcome Home Elvis” with Frank Sinatra. This was his first televised appearance since coming home from military service.
